Assembly Instructions
These Glowbe™️ hubs allow you to connect 12 individual - 1" diameter PEX tubes + IP68 LED smart strips to create a jaw-dropping 5' sphere prop. Best of all, it can be easily modeled in xlights using the Sphere model and simply mapping arch effects to it! Please set your String count to 6 and your strand count to 2 in xLights.
The matrix panel for the top can be purchased from Boscoyo here. You will need to cut it down to. 4x27 and the last two rows will overlap when you zip tie it creating a matrix of 4x25 for the top (100 pixels).
This listing includes two (or three!) reinforced Glowbe hubs, specifically designed for making a sphere. DO NOT use the similar iglow hub for making a sphere.
Requires a 100' coil of white PEX (non translucent) cut into 12, equal-length pieces (8' recommended) and 12x qty 2.5M length LED strip through each tube and through each hub. This is a completely tool-free installation! Instructions included with each purchase! *We recommend using our upgraded WS2815 IP68 strips that have several advantages over the cheaper typical LED strips.
Using 12x 2.5M length strips are now recommended over 6x 5M strips, as they allow each arm to fully disassemble from the hubs for easier storage.
